Horse serum is a supplement used for different media, for high protein content (double compared to the bovine), although it has few trace elements needed to optimize bacteria growth. Serum rich in growth factors compared with other animal sera, supplemented with a base culture medium, complete of trace elements, allows optimization of growth and bacterial development.

The horse serum supplied by Microbiol comes from controlled breeds that guarantee the use of donors without antibiotic treatment.
